Hey, Okay guys, we’re back it is Mark Phillips with SimpliSpoken. This is SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing joined by my co-founder business partner John Goss, say hello, John. Hello. Alright. Alright, so today we’re going to move to something that I think anyone that’s trying to create content for voice or build things for voice will really appreciate and that’s ideation. How do you come up with your best ideas? When do you do that? How do you do that? And so we’ll turn that over for an initial take from John Goss. What do you think, John?

Well, I’ll tell you what, Mark since we’re going to give some nuggets. The first nugget is the word ideation. That word was made up somewhere along the lines from some marketer to try to figure out a way to get people to think about stuff in a new way. It is really funny. We use it all the time. I don’t even think is a real word. But to answer your question, and then I’m going to kick it back to you. When do I come up with my best ideas? one spot is when I’m exercising so I like to run. And so when I’m running, and I’m about six miles in I can usually get a bunch of cool ideas that I free associate usually come into my brain The hard part is into remember them when I finished my run, but that’s one. How about yourself, Mark? What do you come up with your best ideas?

A couple of times, really, I think much like you, when I when I participate in mindfulness, which I do every day, every morning, early in the morning, at the end of that session, I sort of have a little bit of time where my mind is very clear, and I come up with pretty good ideas then, and I do an insane amount of reading I’m a voracious reader and consume a lot of content and I do a lot of kind of free association with the things that I read. And I think that’s been very helpful for me. Yeah, so a couple different places.

Awesome. I’m going to give you one more there Mark gave us a secondary word today voracious. So you learned ideate and voracious two in the same in the same flash? Amazing. It’s a twofer today, twofer day, but my maybe my last one of good ideas is talking to people. So talking to people and understanding them helps for today and you guys make it a great day.
