Google IO Google Duplex for the Web
Okay, hey guys Mark Phillips here with SimpliSpoken. This is the SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing. And today we’re going to continue the discussion about some of the announcements that Google out of that were interesting. And one of the announcements that they made, or the demonstrations that they gave was this, this ability to allow duplex to kind of work on the web. So not making phone calls on your behalf, but basically, duplex recognizing that you want to do something like book, a trip or book, a trip, a book, a trip for your next sort of appointment that you need to travel for. And the duplex does some pretty cool stuff, where they go and look at, you know, what’s the next thing coming up in your calendar? Where do you need to travel to do you usually book your car rentals with what can they pre-populate in terms of the information that could then be used to navigate through the booking process. And so if you think about sort of, a fairly into and booking process where the assistant basically, or duplex handle everything, that’s what happened, and it doesn’t require a lot of intervention. It’s smart, it learns from your preferences. And then the thing that I thought was, maybe the most interesting about it was that they do not require the services that are being booked to know anything or to participate in in the process. So if you take for example, like a car rental organization, that car rental organization does not have to work with duplex to enable this functionality. duplex is able to just go and do that for itself. So I thought that was a super cool announcement and a taste of the future in this in the terms of voice and assistance being able to help us accomplish things. So hey, thanks for joining guys we’ll be back again tomorrow. Please do hop over to the skill store and give us a good review. That is the SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing.
