Deloitte Alexa Skill in Australia Voice Activation for Patients
Alright, hey guys, Mark Phillips with SimpliSpoken This is the SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing. Thanks for joining us again today, they back again, we’re talking today about something that we see from Deloitte and we’ve seen Deloitte do some interesting work in the voice space, especially in markets outside the US. So Deloitte has been doing some good work in Australia, in Australia, they’ve, they’ve produced a skill that allows patients in the hospital environment to call their nurses the skill. So if you think about this, this is something we probably talked about before this nurse call functionality, which is right now pretty much a, you know, press a button or a scream into the hall, and it is less than ideal. So voice is a great modality for that to be able to have patients that can use this voice activated system. And then they also capture the kind of content of what the request is. So we sort of know can triage the request as an emergency is something the less, you know, do we need to change the TV channel because something’s wrong or open the blinds or adjust the temperature. So there, there are different levels of sort of severity of request. But it’s also a patient empowerment place. So patients are in a horrible situation, in many cases, and they’re in a hospital room. And this is a way to give patients a little bit of power over their experience. I think it’s interesting, and I think Deloitte has been doing some really nice, really nice work in the voice space. I know they believe in it. And I love to see the stories there. And I’d like to maybe follow this as it’s rolled out and see, you know, how it continues to, to go. So I think this is going to be an interesting, interesting thing, especially now that we have the ability to have a HIPAA compliant environment for healthcare in the US and I think that’s going to really stimulate some development in the US healthcare environment.
