Alexa Auto and BBC Radio 1

Alright, hey guys, Mark Phillips with SimpliSpoken back again for another SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing. And so today I just want to talk a little bit about the Amazon Echo auto recently received that unit installed it in a in a 2018 TLX. It is a very interesting product, the voice recognition and ASR and that is just fantastic. One of the things that I’ve observed with that one is that, you know, I can be playing music at a pretty good, pretty good volume. And the echo auto recognizes the whiteboard and allows me to navigate through that content, I use it to, to do Smart Home skills to play music. Another thing that I use it for is to launch the BBC Radio one which is not available, the you know, the Sirius XM, or some of the other stuff that I have access to in the car. It’s interesting to have the unit there along with of course, I have Apple Car, play an Android Auto in that car as well. So one thing that Believe it or not, the car doesn’t do very well is connect with the hands free link system for echo auto. So I have the auxiliary cable for the sound output. And it works well it does Alexa enable the car, it gives me some continuity. The the unit recognizes the speech will and get it really just opens up the car to be, you know, full fledged Alexa participant there. So it’s pretty cool stuff. And so I’d encourage you guys when you get your hands on Amazon Echo auto to give it a try. I know it’s still in beta preview right now. So they haven’t released those invites to everybody but it’s a pretty cool capability. do wish that you know there was a better setup for all the cabling, but other than that it’s been a good experience for me. So hey, thanks a lot guys. This this is the SimpliSpoken on Voice Daily Flash Briefing. Take care
